Munkhbayar DORJSUREN brought the 25m Pistol Women Gold to Germany, winning a title that was missing from her medals’ showcase. The German shooter, a long experienced pistol champion, had indeed won two World Cup Final Silvers in her career, but she had never finished on the highest step of this podium.

“This is my best result of the season!” said Munkhbayar DORJSUREN of Germany after winning Gold in the 25m Pistol event at the ISSF World Cup Final with a total score of 793.1 points. The German shooter had won a Bronze medal at the last Olympic Games of Beijing with a score of 789.2 points “My second Olympic Bronze! – she commented – I had won Bronze also at the 1992 Games of Barcelona, but this time it has been more difficult: many years has passed… it’s great to be back on a podium!”

Stephanie TIRODE of France finished in second place, only 0.6 points behind DORJSUREN, with a final score of 792.5 points. The 33-year old France shooter had never qualified for an ISSF World Cup Final before, and she had only won one medal in international ISSF competitions, a Silver medal earned at the 2008 pre-Olympic world cup of Beijing.

The two time Olympic Champion of Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004, Maria GROZDEVA of Bulgaria, grabbed the Bronze medal at the last competition series. The Bulgarian athlete had indeed started in fourth place, and only with her last final series she managed to overtake the Serbian champion Jasna SEKARIC.
GROZDEVA shot her Bronze with 787.1 points, while SEKARIC landed in fourth place only a few tenths behind, with 786.2 points.

The Olympic Champion of Beijing and World Cup Final titleholder, the Chinese shooter Ying CHEN, did not start the competition.
