ISSF World Championships in Running Target Events opened in Pilsen

The first separate ISSF World Championships in Running Targets Events has been open in Pilsen, in Czech Republic, where for the first time will be shot the new 10m running target stage, the “medal match”.

The first separate ISSF World Championships in Running Target Events has been opened in Pilsen, Czech Republic, where the competition will take place between the 18th and the 26th of October. More then 80 shooters coming from 16 different nations will compete in the twelve running target events, on the 10 and 50 meters distance, both in Junior and regular competition.
For the first time on a world level competition, the new “medal match” stage will take place during the Championships of Pilsen. The “medal match”, introduced since the beginning of the 2008 season, is a further stage in the 10m events: after the qualifications, the four best athletes will fire a further stage, shooting for the medals in breathtaking face-to-face duels.
Following the opening ceremony that took place yesterday, the first competitions of the 10m Running Target Mixed Events will take place today at the shooting range of Pilsen. Please, keep following our website for further information about the competition
