The medal standings of the 2nd ISSF World Cup

朱启南 China, the host country of the 2nd leg of the 2009 ISSF World Cup, placed in first in the medal standings by winning 4 of the 10 events conducted in this World Cup stage. Next to the 4 gold medals, China secured also 4 silvers and 1 bronze, closing the competition with an overall total of 9 medals.

Australia placed in second in the overall medal standings with 1 gold and 1 silver medal, won thanks to the Olympic Bronze Warren Potent (winner of the 50m Rifle Prone event) and of the pistol shooter Lalita Yauhleuskaya (silver in the 25m pistol men event).

The Russian Federation and the United States of America tied in third place, with 1 gold and 1 silver each.

The ISSF World Cup Series in Olympic shooting events is now moving to Cairo, Egypt, where the 3rd world cup stage (in shotgun events) will be held from the 1st to the 10th of May.
