World Cup Final closed. Germany won the medal standings
The ISSF Technical Delegate Mr. SILVA MONTERROSO expressed words of appreciation for the work of the organizers and for the results reached by the athletes. Germany won the medal standings, followed by China and USA.
The 2008 ISSF World Cup Final in Rifle and Pistol event has been closed today at the shooting range of Bangkok, Thailand, where the competition has been held form the 1st to the 6th of November.
“The efforts of the organizers have been remarkable” commented the ISSF Techincal Delegate Mr. SILVA MONTERROSO ”Our hosts managed so many events in such a short time, we should be grateful to the organization. Our shooters reached excellent results here – continued Mr. SILVA MONTERROSO in his analysis – only today we had two equalled world record and a new final world record in 10 meters event. That’s fantastic!”
Germany won the medal standings of this year’s ISSF World Cup Final. The European country collected 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze, for a total of four medals. The People’s Republic of China came in second, winning 2 Gold and 4 Bronze medals. The United States of America followed in third place, with 1 Gold and 2 Silvers, all won by the Rifle ace Matthew EMMONS.
